Graphic Design - brochure

For this assignment we were asked to design a poster / brochure for a one-day conference.  Four speakers presenting their visions on the future of graphic design. Also consider of micro and macro aesthetic design with reference to semiotic theory.
I choose “LOST” as the topic for the conference. It calls for a “return to everyday life”. Thinking  how we live our everyday lives, how we confront our everyday situations, how we approach the relationships between the individual and the external environments. What we miss in everyday life.
In the final work, I use incomplete jigsaw puzzle to expression the memory we lost in everyday life. The key word glimmering below the puzzle show something is changing.
On the typeface, I choose OCR A Std font. In the early days of computer optical character recognition, there was a need for a font that could be recognized not only by the computers of that day, but also by humans. Which used simple, thick strokes to form recognizable characters. To show the topic of the conference is calls for found the simple everyday life.
Geometric mount shapes link poster page and brochure page. Different color can be used to show the  more profound things under the surface.
